How do I adopt a Christmas wish?
Starting November 10th, visit PumpUpTheKidsAdoptAFamily.com and browse the Christmas wishes from our 35 local families.
Choose the items you’d like to purchase and donate, add them to your cart, and complete checkout.
Once you check out, your selected wishes are reserved for you and removed from the website so no one else can adopt them.
You’ll receive an email listing your selected gifts, including important details like clothing and shoe sizes. Use this email as your shopping list!
Remember: Checking out does NOT purchase or donate the gifts. You must still shop for them and drop them off.
Do I have to adopt an entire family’s wish list?
Absolutely not! You can adopt one wish, several wishes, or an entire family’s list. Every gift makes a difference!
Am I paying for the gifts when I check out?
No! Our website works like a Christmas wish registry, not an online store.
Checking out simply reserves the gifts you’ve committed to purchasing and donating. No payment is collected when you adopt a wish.
You’ll need to purchase the items yourself and deliver them to our drop-off location by December 18th.
What if I select a gift but can’t fulfill the wish?
We understand that circumstances can change. If you’re unable to purchase or deliver a gift you’ve selected, please contact our program team at the Radio Station 907-451-5910 as soon as possible so we can make that wish available for someone else to adopt.
By when do you need the gifts?
All gifts must be dropped off by Friday, December 18th at 6:00 PM.
Our drop-off office opens Wednesday, December 9th.
Should I wrap the gifts?
No, please bring gifts unwrapped and in their original packaging whenever possible.
All gifts must be screened and organized before distribution to ensure the safety of our participating families.
Please clearly label each gift with its corresponding wish list information or number from your confirmation email.

Drop-Off Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Special Saturday: December 12th, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
Opening Day: Wednesday, December 9th
Final Deadline: Friday, December 18th at 6:00 PM
When will families receive their gifts?
All gifts will be picked up or delivered to participating families in December, before Christmas.
How are families selected for the program?
Families must be nominated by an approved government or nonprofit social work agency or individual, church clergy member, official caseworker, or school counselor.
Our program is designed to help local families experiencing hardship or going through a difficult season in their lives.
Can I learn more about or meet the family I’m helping?
To protect the privacy and safety of participating families, we cannot share identifying information or arrange direct contact.
Please know that your generosity means more than you may realize. Many families express heartfelt gratitude through the organizations that nominated them.
By fulfilling a Christmas wish, you’re reminding a family facing difficult circumstances that they haven’t been forgotten and that their community cares.
What if I can’t afford to adopt a wish or don’t have the ability to shop and drop off gifts?
That’s okay! You can still help by making a monetary donation through our DONATE NOW button.
Every donation, large or small, helps our team purchase gifts and fulfill as many outstanding Christmas wishes as possible. Even small donations add up and help us purchase some of the larger items on families’ lists.
